I regret purchasing this. The gimmick is obvious, as Lippincott boxes go, the set-up is clumsy and certainly not quick enough for walk-around. I will never use it.

I take back my original review having had the opportunity to okay some more with this, It really is quite fantastic and the gimmicks work well when properly jandled. My initial reaction was way too hasty and this trick deserved more than ny original conception.

This is so bad and a poorly made concept. The slide that is used is horrible and not even like the slide in the teaching video. Also prts of this came in another package which had fairly inferior parts. The box itself is nicely mad but the rest is poorly made. I could never trust this to work in a real life situation. Save your money.

The box is beautiful, very well made. But the music sounds low and I'm not sure that it is the real music from Harry Potter movies. Anyway, the important thing is that you get a nice Lippincot box that can make music. Nice for your magic act.

The inside music Box, that is The Little thing, actually playing is a Chess and out of tune item. And Silver, so it doesn‘t fit the brass metal on the Box. I replaced it - no it‘s better. The Trick is Great!

Disappointing prop. The gimmicked portion of the prop is awkward and not easy to handle without the possibility of fumbling or revealing to the spectator as to what is happening during the performance of the effect. TCC is usually better than this. The design work is sorely lacking.

Even though this an old theme, I believe it plays best with the music box itself. If you like some story telling in your routines, then the music box works well. The only thing I had to change was the included bags. I purchased a smaller version of bags and it plays well. I don't like to use spectator rings for several reasons, that's why a use a marked coin from an audience Participant.

I purchase so many TCC products and I love the quality and craftsmanship put into most creations. However, I recently purchased The Music Box by Colin Underwood & TCC Magic. and I am VERY disappointed. Several items make this perhaps the worse product I have purchased from TCC. First, the lock looks so out of place with the box. The lock is an antique, tarnished lock, however all the other hardware is shiny new brass. Second, and perhaps the most disappointing thing is the music crank handle is bent (see photo attached) The crank handle is bent in such a way it rubs and interferes with the wood box at the hole. Next, the drum is not rotated by a wound spring, the only way it plays music is while cranking the handle, if you stop cranking, the music stops (very cheap). And lastly, the sound of the 'music' is terrible - it sounds out of tune. I cannot tell what song it's attempting to play. The positive side, the wood has a nice finish, and the lippincott door is sealed with magnets. I would not recommend this trick to anyone. - very, very disappointed. Perhaps I will replace the mechanical music device with a much better one.
