The Chinese Linking Rings effect is a treasured legacy. Magicians continue to explore new variations and presentations, while the effect remains a widely loved classic.
As professional magicians in China, we created our Close-up Four-Ring Set to honor that heritage. This Stainless Steel version takes the next step: we changed the material and refined the entire ring-making process.
Compared with our previous Close-up Linking Rings, this set has several differences:
- Material: Upgraded to stainless steel to refine the rings’ handling and surface finish.
- Size: The outer diameter increases from 10.5 cm (4 inches) to approximately 13.1 cm (5.1 inches). At about 25% larger, the rings are easier to see and remain clearly visible in small to mid-sized theaters.
- Weight: Each ring weighs approximately 89 g (3.1 oz), compared with 48.1 g (1.7 oz) for the previous version. The added weight gives the rings a more substantial feel in the hands and a fuller, more resonant sound when they click together.
- Welding: Low-heat fusion welding keeps weld buildup to a minimum.
- Seam: The joint gap is kept within 0.1 mm. The seam is ground and polished in four stages, leaving a smooth finish with no uneven spots visible to the naked eye.
